Hot Wheels for Sales: Yours and 5 Other Top Businessmen's Rides

When I got out of college, I needed a job to pay the bills... so I did cellular sales. No, no, this was WAAAAAY back in the day when cellular commissions were $99 to $750 per line versus an hourly wage of the poor stiffs at Pete's Cellular City.

Back then, if you turned on a $199 cell plan, you got a commission of about $750. Not bad for car phone sales eh?

Anyway, back in the 90s, we also got something called "Sales Training". And the sales cheerleader guy said to us guys, "You want to choose a successful salesman? Look at the car he drives. You don't want a realtor driving around an old Camry, you want the guy in the 600 Series Mercedes..."

Hey, I'm not saying your tricked out JDM B18a Civic isn't fast or even cool, but in professional grown-up land... what's gonna leave an impression on your client? Or which car is the hot receptionist at the office gonna wanna go for a ride in? Everybody loves the sales guy who is raking in the commissions and can afford a car worth showing off a little. So what are you driving around?

Check out these CEO's wheels...

Mark Zuckerberg's girlfriend filling up his Acura TSX...Mark is in the driver's seat in the car and the relationship apparently.

Warren Buffet drives a Harley Davdison motorcycle to work which has landed him a spot as one of the top bachelors on the stock market...Okay, just kidding. This was actually taken back in 2009 when he pulled Harley Davidson out of a $300 million debt but you can't help but smile at the image of Warren Buffet cruising in to work on one of these hot wheels.

Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple Inc., chairman of Pixar Animation Studios, and largest shareholder at Disney blazes through the blacktop in an Acura SL55. As you may notice, he likes to keep a low profile by driving without plates. I'm sure he could handle the bill if he gets pulled over.

Now this is more like it! Sir Richard Branson, CEO of Virgin Group, heads to work in the amphibious car, the Gibbs Aquada. Okay...again just kidding. He's actually pretty modest with his wealth on the pavement and drives around in a fuel-efficient Saab

As the richest man in the world, you need to treat yourself to a sweet ride every now and again. Bill Gates does exactly that as the proud owner of a 1988 Porsche 959 Coupe. This car was not even legal to be on the street until President Clinton had to sign a federal law that allowed him to do so.
